Fish Care – Important Guidelines

• All fish species—especially large carp—are among the greatest treasures of Don Carp Lake.
• In the event of fish mortality caused by negligent handling, the angler is fully financially responsible.

(The value of individual fish may range from hundreds of thousands to several million HUF.)

• Anglers and their guests are also responsible for any equipment or facilities they use or rent, including cabin furnishings.

Conduct & Safety

• Excessive alcohol consumption, use of any substances, loud behaviour, or disturbing other guests’ peace will result in immediate removal from the lake area and, if necessary, official action.
• Moderate alcohol consumption is allowed as long as behaviour remains respectful and does not disturb others.
• During nighttime, every angler must ensure their fishing area is clearly illuminated (e.g., outdoor cabin lights).
• Night fishing cannot continue without proper lighting.

Waterside & Environmental Guidelines

• Each fishing spot may use a maximum of 2 marker poles.
• The following are strictly prohibited in the lake water:
• swimming
• entering the water with sunscreen/oil on the skin
• pouring food or drink leftovers into the lake
• washing or dishwashing
• relieving human bodily needs
• throwing cigarette butts into the water
• Open fire is only allowed at the designated fire pits.
• Marking or tagging fish is strictly forbidden and results in immediate exclusion.

During weighing and photographing, fish must be continuously watered and handled with maximum care.

Age Requirements

• Under 12 years: no fishing permitted.
• Ages 12–16: fishing only under parental supervision and full parental responsibility.
• From age 12: only carp/boilie tickets are allowed.

Monitoring

• Our staff conducts regular checks to ensure all lake guidelines and angling practices are followed.
• Please do not consider these checks intrusive—our goal is to protect the fish and ensure every guest enjoys a safe and peaceful experience.

Boat Use – Important Information

• At Swim 8, the Little VIP swims (15–16–17–18), as well as VIP1 and VIP2, the use of a boat is mandatory due to the reed-filled, natural water structure of these areas.
• Please keep this in mind when making your reservation.
• Own boats may be used, but only if fully cleaned and washed.
• Dirty or contaminated boats are not allowed on the lake. Thank you for your understanding.
• During nighttime boat use, a headlamp is mandatory.
• All boat activity is done at your own risk.
• Using a boat under the influence of alcohol is strictly prohibited.

Safety requirement:

• Life jackets must be worn at all times while using a boat.

Vehicle Access on the Lake Grounds

• Vehicle access inside the lake area is allowed between 7:00 and 18:00, and only when necessary, to avoid disturbing other guests and to reduce dust on the gravel roads.
• Thank you for your cooperation.

Driving under the influence of alcohol is strictly prohibited.
Maximum speed limit: 5 km/h.

Parking – For 24-Hour Reservations

• Each fishing swim may have 1 car parked beside it, for convenience only.
• Vehicles may not be used during the stay.
• Box vans / closed transport vehicles must park in the designated parking area.
• Parking on grass is not permitted.
• Upon departure, please show your vehicle to the bailiff for a brief check.
• Thank you for your understanding.

Important:
Driving on the cross-dam is strictly prohibited for all anglers.

Visitors

• Visitors must leave their vehicles in the main entrance parking area.

Driving to the swims is not permitted.

• Anglers take full responsibility for their guests.

All visitors must follow the lake’s operational guidelines.

Visitor Presence

• Daytime visits (sunrise–sunset): free of charge
• Overnight stay: Visitor Ticket required

3,000 HUF / person / 24 hours
(Purchase at the Street Food Buffet)

Overnight presence without a Visitor Ticket is not allowed.

Guests with Dogs – Important Guidelines

We warmly welcome guests arriving with dogs.
To ensure the safety of the lake and the comfort of all visitors, please follow the guidelines below:

Leash Use

• Large dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
• Small, calm dogs (e.g., bulldog, French bulldog, yorkshire terrier) may be off-leash as long as they do not disturb others.

Safety

• A muzzle is required for large dogs.
• Dogs are not allowed in the lake under any circumstances.

Responsibility & Cooperation

• Owners must always clean up after their dogs.
• Dogs may not be left alone or locked inside the cabins.
• Dogs must not disturb other anglers’ peace and quiet.
• Please supervise your dog so it does not obstruct the work of the bailiffs.

Important

• Owners are fully responsible for any damage caused by their dog.
• Ignoring these guidelines may result in being asked to leave the lake immediately.

To confirm your booking, a deposit is required — minimum 50% of the selected services (e.g., cabin, fishing ticket, boat rental).
Once the deposit has been received, your reservation is considered confirmed.

You have 72 hours from the time of booking to pay the deposit.
If the payment is not completed within this timeframe, the reservation will be automatically cancelled.

Cancellation Terms:

• 28 days or more before arrival:

Your full deposit is reusable once within the same calendar year.

• Within 28 days of arrival:

The deposit is non-refundable and non-reusable.

• Online reservation is possible for a minimum of 48 hours, we cannot accept bookings for less than 48 hours on our website!
• If you want to stay for 48 hours or more, please make your reservation online, it is not possible to book by phone!
• If you want to make a reservation for less than 48 hours, it is possible to arrange it in person at the huers house or by phone.
• If you want a 12 or 24 hour "advance booking" we can only help you one day before the given subject day, if it is possible, depending on the occupancy

Guests may check in from 08:00 and check out until 17:00 on the day of their booking.

Reservations can be modified or cancelled, but please make sure to notify us in time. Our fishing spots are highly sought-after, so informing us by email also helps fellow anglers.

How to modify or cancel your reservation?

• All requests must be sent exclusively via e-mail to:

• The request must be submitted at least 28 days before arrival.
• Any request received after this deadline cannot be accepted, regardless of the reason.

Modification Policy

• Each reservation can be modified only once
(arrival/departure time or switching to another swim).
• Further modifications are not possible.

If you do not show up

If a guest does not arrive and does not notify us in advance by e-mail:

• No further reservations can be made for that calendar year
• Existing reservations will be suspended
• The paid deposit will be forfeited
• In certain cases, the guest’s registration may be withdrawn

Deposit Policy

• If cancellation is made at least 28 days before arrival, the full deposit can be reused within the same year.
• If cancellation is made within 28 days, the deposit is automatically forfeited.
